Originally signed on loan from Hamilton Academicals in January 1902 Jimmy Walls was the latest in a long line of candidates the Bhoys hoped would fill the gap left by Neill McCallum almost a decade earlier.

Walls made his debut in a 3-0 home Scottish Cup triumph on January 11 as Celtic defeated Thornliebank.

He signed for the club on a full time basis in May that year but in total made only 5 first team appearances before losing his place to Jimmy Muir and moving to Ayr United in August 1903.
