Turnbull, David
A very highly rated junior player David Turnbull signed for Celtic in February 1927 from Kilbirnie Ladeside.
The Hurlford-born left-half made his debut in a 1-0 league defeat to St Johnstone on April 23rd that year but despite his reputation he made only a total of two competitive first team appearances for the Bhoys.
He was loan to Ayr United to gain experience and ultimately signed full time for the club in September 1928
