MOTM Voting

Voting and tables will be the same as last season.

Voting lasts for 48hrs after the game ends.

After each match, you are asked to pick the three CELTIC players who, in your opinion were the three players who stood out above the rest, in order 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Only players from the Celtic starting XI, plus any used substitutes will be counted.

Your 1st choice will be given 3pts, 2nd choice 2pts and 3rd choice 1pt . If you only name two players then your 1st choice will receive 2pts and 2nd choice 1pt. If you decide that only one player deserves a mention then that player will receive 1pt.

The player with the greatest number of points will be named the KDS MOTM for that game.

Each member is only allowed one vote.

07/08 European Player of the Year Rules ( voting thread on KDS ) ( 06/07 voting thread on KDS )

So that's Europe gone for another year. cry2.gif

It's time then for the good fholks of Kerrydale Street to get their thinking caps on and vote for their KDS European Player of the year.

Just like last year, you are asked to pick 10 players and put them in order, from your 1st choice, who will be given 10 pts, down to your 10th place, who will be given 1 pt. The player with the most points will be the KDS European Player of the Year, and will join Artur Boruc who was last years winner.

Will he win it again?

Has Aiden done enough in European games to win it?

What about Hartley's goal in Moscow?

McDonald's last minute goal to beat Milan?

JVoH's goal against Barca, or Robson's?

Do you think some-one else deserves it? Let us know.

You must pick 10 players, in order. No more, no less, or your vote won't be counted.

Voting will be open from now until 17:00hrs Celtic Park time, on Friday 14th March 2008, and hopefully the result will be posted before kick-off in the game with Motherwell on Saturday 15th.

06/07 Player of the Year Rules ( voting thread on KDS )

Here it is. The Kerrydale Street - Player of the Year 2006/2007. Its unbelievable that we've made it to the end of the season with every vote for every game since we played Kilmarnock on flag day last year. In truth its down to one man. Auldbhoy has counted, collated and categorised all the votes that everyone has made, every week and every match. Its an astonishing job that he's done and its got us to where we are now, the Big Vote. All thanks must got to Auldbhoy for keeping the KDS Player of the Year from dying out during the season, as i would have surely allowed to happen if it was all left up to me.

Apologies for the size of this post btw, but whats a man to do?

HOW WILL IT WORK:

So the Big Vote. Well, as many of you know, throughout the season there have been rumblings that this part in unfair and that that part is unfair and why don't we leave the tables as they are and how we can't possibly just leave the tables as they are. In the end we've decided to do it this way and if you are unhappy with it, by all means voice your unhappiness, but i won't listen.....i'm just happy that its nearly over!

WHO QUALIFIES TO VOTE:

Whoever you are, you have a vote. Whether you've been on KDS for a day or since the start, whether you voted in all of the Man of the Match threads or none of them......lurkers included, you've watched the season as closely as anyone else and your vote is just as valid, so feel free to post it (STB - You're barred).

RULES:

1, You vote for 10 players and only 10. If you vote for any more or any less your vote doesn't count. Vote in order i.e. 1, (Your Player of the Year - who gets 10pts) 2, (Your 2nd place POTY - who gets 9pts) etc etc.............. right down to number 10, (who gets 1pt). In the end these votes are tallied up by guess who and we will announce the Top 10 in whatever fashion we see fit.

2, Theres no rush, you get 3 weeks so that anyone who's away on holidays gets a chance and everything. Closing date is Midnight on Tuesday 19th June 2007. Auldbhoy and I will keep bumping the thread and annoying everyone during that time so that people see it.

3, Do not edit your post. This is a bit of a plea more than anything else. Auldbhoy has his work cut out counting all of these posts and tries to do so as we go along, if you edit your choice, it may not get noticed even if it is done before the deadline. We want the vote to be accurate but we don't really care if it is or not. Just think about it and get it right before you post it up, theres no rush. We'll try to spot it if you do, so no panic if you do edit a post.

HOW YOU VOTE:

When it comes down to it this is up to you, vote whatever the hell way you like. If you follow the rules its valid and will be counted towards the KDS Player of the Year Top 10.

AULDBHOY IS ON HAND:

We want to help get everything as close to fair and representative of the 2006/2007 season as a whole as is possible with something like this, therefore we have something up our sleeves. In addition to all the information posted below which is designed to help you see the season exactly as it happened and what the opinions were at the time, Auldbhoy is on standby to send out via pm , your very own votes throughout the seasons Man of the Match thread. This is probably your best guide to which player, in bare honesty, you felt was performing right after each game of the season. In the interests of making this as fair as possible, you are urged to pm Auldbhoy (i did and i can't believe who i voted for at the time!) and find out who impressed you enough to vote for them at the time.

These details, along with all the tables and guides below, your own memories, your key points in the season, who you think was over-rated and recieved favouritism, who was under-rated despite impressing you; and everything else, the works, the whole patchwork and the entire shooting gallery, consider it all before posting - and hopefully it will help you to make up your own personal Top 10 which is beyond anyone elses judgement or reproach (but i'd definitely recommend pm'ing Auldbhoy, you'll probably be amazed!).

Without further blabbering and nonsense, here are the stats from our double-winning, last 16 achieving, 2006/2007 season. Enjoy!

THE STRACHAN VOTE:

Oh! Almost forgot, theres more. As a wee aside, and just for a bit of craic, you've just watched Gordon Strachan navigate a footballing season with ups and downs......we don't want comments, we don't want s.ticks or t.wists.......we want a percentage. If you were marking the Celtic Manager out of 100% for his managerial performance this season (and only this season), give us the number (and please make it a whole number so its all easy to count! Its very easy to be funny but its a headache to count up!). You can be as harsh or gracious as you like, its just an added bit of craic to see how the manager bares up to the fans overall judgement.

So heres all we want:
