Sebo

"Sebo" - Doing a "Sebo" is when a player performs a long-range shot at goal which can be ranked as outrageous, overly-optimistic or just plain daft, and in general the shot simply goes nowhere near the target. During matches after any player has done a "Sebo", chants of "Sebo, Sebo, Seeebbooo" ring around the stadium.

Sebo - Kerrydale StreetChant started on the back of ex-Rangers player Filip Sebo bought by then Rangers manager, Paul Le Guen, for £1.8m and was a disastrous signing for the club. So bad that in the Old Firm games Celtic fans began to chant for Rangers to bring him on. In his last Old Firm game when Rangers actually beat Celtic the Rangers fans themselves retaliated about bringing him on to prove how easy the game was for them! His record was 2 goals in 32 games, pathetic. Didn't help that he looked like Eddie Munster's elder brother.

A high point for the "Sebo" chant came in the UEFA Cup final of May 2007, staged in Glasgow where the many Spanish fans who came to Glasgow were taught the taunt to chant in games, and for those who couldn't get a ticket, did so in the pubs with the Celtic fans during the game. A chant that will linger for a long time to come.
