Robertson, Graham

Buchaven-born Half-back Graham Robertson signed for Celtic in April 1929.

The Wellesley Juniors man was a sought after talent and had trials at various senior clubs before moving to the Bhoys where he made a total of 37 appearances. His first team debut came on September 7th at Clyde when Celtic drew 1-1 in a Glasgow Cup tie.

Robertson was a sure footed and athletic performer who provided solid service for the Hoops at left-half. A powerful and hard working player he was an asset to the team but his career was to be halted by illness. Advised to stop playing football on medical ground, Robertson was released by Celtic in April 1931. He did however attempt a comeback later that year with Cowdenbeath.
