John Reid was signed by Celtic in March 1953 from Armadale Thistle.
An inside-forward the Edinburgh-born player made his debut at home to Hibs on April 2nd 1955 when the Bhoys lost the league encounter 2-1.
He played a total of four games for the Celtic first team and scored one goal – the only goal of the game in a league match at Dundee on April 9th 1955.
He was loaned to Alloa later that year and eventually released by Celtic in April 1957.
