Quinn, Francis
Francis 'Frankie' Quinn was a Saltcoats born outside-right.
A welder at Ardrossan shipyard, Quinn signed for the Bhoys in November 1946 after impressing in the junior game with Saltcoats Victoria. He made a scoring debut as he netted once in a 2-0 defeat of Partick Thistle in a league match at Parkhead on March 22nd 1947.
He made a total of seven Celtic ppearances - with two goal to his name - before being relased by the club in 1948. Frankie went on to sign for Dundee United where he established himself as a firm favourite.
