Bent Martin joined Celtic from Aarhus ion 4th February, 1966, three months after the teams had met in a European Cup Winners tie in November 1965. His only representative outing was in a Glashow Cup semi-final against Queens Park on 10th October, 1966 when Celtic won 4-0.

Bent left Celtic on the 23rd December 1966 to join Dunfermiline Athletic for a fee of £3500. In 1968 he won a Scottish Cup medal with the Pars. He was released by Dunfermiline in May 1970
