Livingstone, Dugald

Full-back Dugald Livingstone signed for Celtic from junior outfit Ashfield in January 1917.

He made his debut in a 4-0 league victory at home to Ayr United on August 18th. A strong and intelligent ball player Livingstone was an acomplished performer who would seldom squandered possesion but could be prone to the odd costly error.

He was a steady servent to the Bhoys but left Parkhead in April 1921 for long time admirers Everton. He had played 47 times for the Bhoys. Duglad went on to establish himself as a coach and manager with clubs such as Sheffield Wednesday, the Belgium national side and Newcastle United
