Lawrie, William
Dumfries-born goalkeeper William Lawrie signed for Celtic from Clydebank Juniors in October 1919 as cover for Charlie Shaw.
He made his debut in place of the injured Shaw on October 25th in a 3-1 league win over Queen’s Park at Celtic Park. He would play two more league matches before Shaw would return to the side fully fit.
After that Lawrie was not to make another senior appearance and eventually left for Aberdeen in May 1921.
