Full back Peter Lamb made just a single appearance in a competitive match for Celtic.

The New Monkland-born defender had signed for the Bhoys from St Anthony's on New Year's Eve 1945 but had to wait until August 31 1948 before he got his chance in the senior team. That chance came in a league tie at St Mirren and Lamb helped his team to a 1-0 victory.

However he couldn't dislodge Bobby Hogg from the right back berth and eventually Lamb was released by the club in April 1947.
