Jackson, John
Utility man John Jackson was a Dalry-born player who came to the Hoops on loan in September 1917 from Leeds City.
His debut came in a 3-0 home Glasgow Cup defeat to Rangers on September 22nd. Prior to arriving at Celtic John was loaned to Rangers but never played a competitive game for the Ibrox side. With the ability and enthusiasm to play in most outfield position he proved to be a useful signing for the Bhoys playing a total of 27 games and scoring two goals before leaving in May 1918 to serve with the Royal Scots Fusiliers.
