Jack, John
Bellshill-born centre-half John Jack made 68 appearances for the Hoops in a 9-year Parkhead career.
Born Jonas Kaduskeviechi the big defender signed for the Bhoys in October 1950 from Stonehouse Volet and he made his debut in a 2-2 home league draw with Motherwell on December 22 1951.
A strong, hard working and effective player Jack combined his early footbal career with gruelling shift sdown the pit. Although not always a regular first team starter he did win a medal with the Bhoys when he was in the first Celtic team to lift the League Cup when the Hoops defeated Partick Thistle on October 31 1956.
Jack eventually left Celtic for Morton in May 1959.
