Hynds, Thomas

Signed from Hurlford Thistle in February 1898 Thomas Hynds was a centre-half who would play 31 times and score two goals for the Bhoys.

Hynds made his senior competitive debut in the 2-0 Charity Cup final defeat to Rangers on May 7th and despite that loss retained his place for much of the following league campaign.

He was switched to right-half following the arrival at Parkhead of Harry Marshall and first team opportunites were subsequently fewer. He left Celtic by his own accord in 1900 and went on to play for Bolton, Manchester City, Arsenal and several others in both England and Scotland.
