Waterford born Jim Goodwin made just one appearance during his brief career in the Hoops.

Signed from Tramore in 1997 the hard tackling midfielder made his debut in the last league game of season 1999-2000 on May 21st when he featured in a young Celtic side defeated Dundee United 2-0 at Parkhead. The match also saw the return of Henrik Larsson from a career threatening leg break.

After failing to gain first team recognition under Martin O'Neill he left Parkhead in the summer of 2002 to join Stockport County.
