An impressive performer at junior level with Duntocher Hibernian, Peter Goldie joined Celtic in May 1953 but broke his leg soon afterwards.
He would have to wait until December 17th 1955 before he made his first team debut at left-back in a 5-1 home league win over Partick Thistle.
He played much of his football at Parkhead at right-half but after a sustained period out of the first team picture he was released in the summer of 1958 and on to sign for Aldershot.
Peter made 14 first team Celtic appearances.
