Goldie, Hugh
The athletic and hard working Hugh Goldie was brought to Celtic in May 1897 from Everton.
The Dalry-born former St Mirren man made his debut in a 2-1 Glasgow Cup win over Clyde at Celtic Park on September 18th. He would play 27 times for the first team and scored one goa. He was released in January 1899 as part of a series of budget cuts at Parkhead. He would join Dundee the next month and then went on to play for Barry Town and Millwall amonst others.
