Johnstone born Patrick Gallagher was signed by the Bhoys from his hometown side in August 1892.

The outside-right made his debut in a 4-2 home victory over Renton on August 20th and a week later scored in his next match at Hearts. He never made another appearance for the Celts and rejoined Johnstone FC soon afterwards.
