Dundee-born defender Robert Fraser was signed by Celtic in January 1948 from his local side Lochee Harp.

The full-back impressed in the reserve side but his only first team outing came in a 4-2 league defeat to Hibernian at Celtic Park on April 3rd.
He never played another competitive first team game and was released in the summer of 1949 when he joined Hearts.
