Fisher, James
Speedy outside-right James Fisher joined Celtic in August 1898 from Aston Villa and made his debut in a 4-1 league win over St Mirren at Parkhead on September 3rd of that year.
Denny-born Fisher however proved to be a frustrating acquisition and for all his pace he was burdened by an inability to cross and shoot with any great accuracy. After loan spells at Preston and East Stirling he eventually left Parkhead for good when he joined Newton Heath in October 1900. He made 10 senior competitve appearances for the Bhoys and scored three goals.
