Iceland Under-21 international striker Kjartan Henry Finnbogason was signed by Celtic in December 2004 alongside fellow teenager and compatriot Theodor Elmar Bjarnason.
The Bhoys beat off competition from clubs in England and across Europe to sign the two highly rated prospects from KR Reykjavik on two-and-a-half-year deals. The Hoops paid a nominal fee for the then 18-year-old Finnbogason. However despite some good showings at reserve level Finnbogason failed to gain first-team recognition.
He was released after turning down a new deal with the club in the summer of 2007.2007.
