David Fernandez (20/01/1976) was born in A Coruna, Spain.

Position: Forward

Fernandez joined his local team Deportivo from 1995 to 2000, spending loan spells at Sevilla (1997/98) and Toledo (1999/00).

After arriving in Scotland to become part of Stevie Archibald's Airdrie side in summer 2000, Fernandez moved to Livingston 9 months later, along with fellow Celt-to-be Javier Sanchez Broto, due to the financial difficulties that eventually lead to Airdrie's demise.

Fernandez moved to Celtic in summer 2002, after playing a key role in Livingston's debut SPL season. 8 goals in 41games41 games for Livi tempted Martin O'Neill to spend £1m on the striker, but Fernandez struggled to break into O'Neill's team, playing just 11 games for Celtic in his first season at the club. At the end of the season, he was loaned back to Livingston (summer 2003).

Fernandez's contract was terminated at the end of season 2004/05, during which he did not make an appearance for the senior time, and he moved on to Dundee United, where he scored 5 goals in 30 games. He is presently at Kilmarnock, who he joined in summer 2006.
