Carronshore born Cornelius Ferguson made two senior appearances as a Celt in the wartime Regional League set-up.
The hard-tackling left-half joined the Bhoys on loan from Alloa and made his debut in a 2-2 draw at Hamilton Academicals in August 1940. His brief spell at Parkhead came to an end when he joined the RAF in 1941. He returned to Alloa after the war.
