European Tour 1911
Celtic's European Tour of 1911 was the most extensive in the club's history at that time and it would also prove to be the most succesful.
Taking in six countries the Bhoys kick-off in Germany where they defeated a Dresden Select side by 6-1. They then moved on to Czechoslovakia where they played a double header against Deutscher FC Prag - Celtic winning the first game 3-1 and drawing 1-1 in the second match. Hungary and Budapest was the next port of call as the Bhoys played out a 1- 1 draw with Ferencvaros TC
Celtic then moved on to Austria where they played two games in Vienna. They defeated Wiener Sports Club 5-1 and Wiener Athletic Club 2-1. A trip across the border into Switzerland saw the th Hoops defeat FC Basle 5-1 before they continued their journey into France where they ended the tour with a 8-1 thrashing of Red Star Paris.
