Following the success of their three match trip to Europe in 1904 Celtic returned to the continent just two years later.

This time the Bhoys summer trip involved just two games. The first was a rematch with SK Slavia Praha in Prague. Celtic had defeated their hosts 4-1 in 1904 but this time around had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

The Celtic party then moved on to Germany where they played Vfb Leipzig. In a one sided encounter the Hoops trounced their hosts 9-1.
