James (Peam) Docherty played in the 50s for the Hoops and then moved to Alloa.
Peam has been diagnosed as terminally ill and I would like to pay tribute to the most generous gentle person I know. A man who lived the dream.

When I was a lad 11 or 12 and going to games with his sons he always taught us the virtues of supporting Celtic, why we're better than the rest without running down any other club, and that has stayed with me even to this day.

Peam is one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure to know. The Bhoys (his sons) who I consider to be friends are also some of the finest people I know and that is down in no small measure to their Father.

I know he is missed at the 5s on a Friday were he would only collect the money but would laugh at how bad some of the guys would be.
