Goalkeeper Alexander Devanny made three competitive appearances for Celtic.

Signed from Glasgow Perthshire in 1949 the keeper made his first team debut in a 4-1 League Cup victory at home to Forfar in September 1951. Unable to break into the first team on a regular basis he was freed by the club in May 1952.
