In August 1993, U2 brought the Zooropa Tour to Celtic Park for two nights.
Q Magazine
In its September 2006 issue, Q Magazine (an influential high-browed UK based music magazine) ran a survey to poll what have been the best gigs of all time! U2’s concert at Celtic Park in 1993 was rated in this survey as one of the best ever concerts, and was the only entry from 1993 putting it as the best gig in the whole world for that year. Another notch on the belt for Celtic Park.
Oasis’ concert at Maine Rd was ranked as the best of the decade so far (another bunch of Celtic fans so a nice double in some ways for us).
