Celts for Change - Kerrydale Street

A group of unsung heroes (and fans) who helped to save Celtic in the 90s beyond the call of duty...
(from L to R: Brendan Sweeney, Colin Duncan, Matt McGlone, David Cunningham, John Thompson).

(write-up to come).

On Matt McGlone
Matt formed and ran the Once a Tim fanzine before he became involved in Celts For Change. When the old board were deposed he was invited by Fergus to apply his energies in a more constructive manner from within by doing a large column in the Celtic View. Matt was a lifetime celtaholic who would have found it impossible to refuse such an offer. He was easy to fall out with and at one point none of the players would talk to him after a particularly offensive headline ( from memory" not fit to wear the hoops" springs to mind ) This is obviously a tad awkward when you are writing for an inhouse paper.

I cannot imagine he would have chosen to leave and would guess he fell out with MON.

He then set up The Alternative View which quickly bombed. He later relaunched this title and enjoyed a bit more success.

Last heard he was a car salesman in the Phoenix estate in Paisley.
His love for the club can never be questioned
