The Celtic support have never been short of invention when it comes to ways of hailing their heroes.
Given that the Irish and the Scots are renowned for having a certain way with words it is perhaps not surprising that for Bhoys fans poetry was among the very earliest means of expressing their admiration and devotion to the club and its players. While the quality of the efforts might fall a little short of the work of Yates or Burns there's no denying the passion the 'poets' show for the Celts.
Many of these poems - dating from the very earliest days of the club to the more modern era - were published in newspapers, fanzines and club publications like the Celtic View. In this section are a selection of these poems.
