Local lad Willie Brown signed for Celtic from Parkhead Juniors in 1916
He made his first senior appearance for the Hoops on August 18 1918 when he played in a 3-0 defeat of Hibernian in Edinburgh. Playing mostly in defence he made a total of nine starts for the Bhoys in that championship-winning campaign and scored Celtic's goal in a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock in October.
After failing to win a regular starting spot he departed Celtic Park for Dundee at the end of the season.
