The name Jimmy Bone is but a very brief footnote in the history of Celtic.
Having played and scored for the Partick Thistle side that shocked Celtic 4-1 in the 1971 League Cup final the Scotland striker eventually signed for the Hoops in early 1974 from Sheffield United. His stay in Paradise was short-lived and after just 1 goal in 8 appearances he headed to Arbroath the following year. He later went on to play and manage St Mirren.Mirren.
