Biscuit tin

Celtic Slang | About Celtic | Celtic's Foundation

Description

"Biscuit Tin" A less than affectionate term used by Celtic fans (and then picked up by the media) to help refer to the extreme miserliness of the old boards (pre-McCann) who where incompetent with any notion of investment in either the club, team or facilites, rather keeping the money locked up in their "Biscuit Tin".

Phrase was coined by the fanzines in the 1980s (probably Not the View).
