Celtic signed Jim Barrie from US side Fall River in 1930. Born in Old Kilpatrick his career with the Bhoys was however exceptionaly short lived and he would make just a solidary appearance in the Hoops before being released the same year.
His one appearance came at right-back in a league clash at home to Airdrie which Celtic lost 2-1. With competition for the right-back slot from the likes of Willie Cook and Chic Geatons it is perhaps not surprising that Barrie's stint at Parkhead was so brief.
