Decent performance. Came out of the blocks flying. McGeady had their right back on toast for the first 15-20 minutes and we deserved to be in front. Then for some reason we lost our way - maybe because we stopped getting the ball to McGeady - and Falkirk started to dominate in midfield. The worrying thing for me was how easy they got from their own half to the edge of our box - usually without anyone even attempting a tackle. Donati and Hartely were poor in the first 45. I'm struggling to remember them winning a single tackle between them. Caldwell made a vital block to keep the score at 1-0, and Conroy did well to keep another out. Thankfully we got the 2nd, probably against the run of play, and that settled it.

A few things. Our two full backs had good games. Caldwell worked his ass off up and down the right and his distribution was much improved. Conroy made one of the most impressive debuts from a youngster that I've seen in a good while. Be nice to see him getting a wee run to see how he copes.

Donati came onto a semi-decent game in the 2nd half, but only after Falkirk went down to 10 men. I thought he was very poor up until then. Hartley had a poor game all round. We desperately need a midfielder who can grab a game by the scruff of the neck. Brown had a very good 2nd half, but I don't like seeing him out wide.

McDonald and JVoH both worked hard, but it didn't come off for them for the most part. McDonald in particular was pretty frustrating. Put in a great shift, and showed some great touches, only to let himself down again with a slack pass.
