1992-11-21: Celtic 3-2 Falkirk, Premier Division |
Version 6 - view current page
This game was notable for a snowstorm which left the pitch entirely white by halftime. The groundsmen entered to clear the lines only for their brushes to break leading to much hilarity/exasperation in the crowd.
Falkirk had scored two early goals before the snow and Celtic seemed incapable of springing the offside trap, being caught repeatedly.
In the second half an orange ball was introduced leading to a few boos from the crowd who then began singing for the orange ball as its introduction sparked a late Celtic fightback with Brian O'Neil scoring two, one of them an excellent crashing header.
