Stein congratulates team following Oct 1965 League Cup final win over Rangers, 2-1. Shortly afterwards, the players did a lap of honour with the cup and the huns fans invaded the field and bowled Hughes & Young over - absolutely disgraceful, utterly shocking. Upshot? Laps of honour banned for the next 15 years, which just happened to coincide with our most successful period ever...players are:Gallagher (behind Stein), McNeill, Young, Clark, Lennox, McBride. This is definitely right, as it was the only time Young & McBride played together in a cup final.
