Celtic v Third Lanark – Considerable doubt existed all the week as to the probability of this Glasgow Cup semi-final tie being played, but it was thought that the thaw of the past couple of days would render it possible. At the last moment the referee declared the ground unfit for a cup tie, so a friendly match was played. It would be hard to discover why the referee had disallowed the tie, as the game throughout was played freely. Result :- Celtic, six goals; Third Lanark, nil.
