Celtic v Pollokshaws – The premier club visited Pollokshaws and played in the first round of the Glasgow Cup, 2000 spectators being present. Pollokshaws opened the scoring through M’Innes, Macmahon equalised, and Brown followed with a second. Pollokshaws visited the Celtic several times and had hard lines in not scoring. Half-time :- Celtic , five goals; Pollokshaws, one goal. In the second half the home club played a capital game, and giving their opponents stiff work a second goal was got. Result :- Celtic, seven goals; Pollokshaws, two goals.
