Scottish Football Association - Meeting to Discuss Protest



1st Meeting

The Emergency Committee of the Scottish Football Association met in the Alexandra Hotel after the social connected with the final tie, and considered a mutual protest lodged by both teams during the course of the match, on the ground of the interference of spectators.
It was decided to sustain the protest, and order the tie to be played on April 9 on the same ground.
The admission was officially fixed at the prohibitive charge of 2/-.
It is understood that both clubs were anxious to replay on Saturday first, but the committee were anxious that they should have choice of players in both teams for the International matches.
Mr Sneddon was again chosen as referee. The members of both clubs are to obtain free admission...

5th April 1892

The General Committee of the Scottish Football met in their new offices, 6 Carlton Place, Glasgow, last night. Mr Archibald Silman, vice-president, occupied the chair in the unavoidable absence of Mr George Sneddon, Mr McKenzie (Rangers) raised the question of the charge of admission at Saturday's final, and it was ultimately agreed that the decision of the Emergency Committee be overturned, and instead one shilling was decided to be charged.
