Celtic v Cowlairs – This League match was played at Parkhead, before about 4000 spectators. McMahon, Madden and Dowds were absent from the Celtic. Play in the first half was fairly even and very fast, McPherson scoring first for Cowlairs, the Celtic failing repeatedly. In the second period the Celtic scored from Boyle’s head in ten minutes, and a minute later the same player added another. Campbell, Maley, and Coleman each added one, and the game ended:- Celtic, five goals; Cowlairs, one.
